Sarah has been working as a Wildlife Biologist since 2000, specializing
in mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and Species at Risk (SAR). She
has provided expertise on natural resource management and wildlife
conservation for Impact Assessment projects. Fieldwork included
herpetological surveys, small mammal surveys, winter wildlife
tracking, and bat surveys for wind power projects. Prior to consulting
Sarah was employed at the Ministry of Natural Resources where
she provided input to SAR management plans and commented on developmental
impacts on natural features and SAR. She tracked amphibians and
reptiles using radiotelemetry, and conducted a small mammal survey
using live-traps and mark-recapture techniques. Previous to her
position at MNR, Sarah managed a West Nile virus surveillance
program for Brant County, and worked in Australia where she studied
Koalas and Wallabies for the University of Queensland, and conducted
mosquito bioassays for the Queensland Institute of Medical Research.
