Ms. Whitehouse directs and manages ecological reporting projects
(Environmental Impact Studies/Assessments) for community development
and industrial development applications. Heather is involved in
all aspects of the project from conducting ecological investigative
studies to working with agencies to meet regulatory requirements
to report writing.
Heather has worked in both terrestrial and aquatic environments,
with expertise in wetland plant ecology. Ms. Whitehouse has developed
long-term ecological monitoring and annual field study programs,
and also conducts numerous programs.
Heather's clients cross a broad spectrum of industry sectors including
urban development, sand and gravel quarries, mining, and municipal
governments. Her project work has taken her to central and northern
Alberta, throughout Ontario, inland New Brunswick and rural Idaho.
Over the years, she has worked on a variety of projects with the
mining industry, including projects for Xtrata Gold and Noranda
Inc. Her mining work has included the development and implementation
of monitoring programs in support of mine closure planning.
