George has completed numerous projects related to species at risk, rare flora and fauna monitoring and mapping and database development. He is certified in the application of the Ecological Land Classification and Wetland Evaluation Systems and is experienced in the identification of terrestrial and emergent vegetation. George is also experienced with the identification of mammals, mollusks, and calling amphibians. George has researched Forest Conservation and has used ArcGIS mapping and statistical software to identify the effects of roads and trails on species at risk habitat and forest edge effects. As an Ecologist with Savanta Inc., he provides significant data and literature review capabilities to assignments regarding biodiversity issues, including biodiversity knowledge gaps and the impacts of various ecological management tools.
